Description: New Police Beats within the Prince William County boundary. This layer is an updated version of the previous BEATS layer to include the Central District. Updated April 2017. This layer further reflects the subdivision of Sectors into smaller geographical areas called beats. The following is a general guideline as to the meaning of the beat numbers: 0000 - PWC Gov't Facilities; 1000 - West; 2000 - East; 3000 - Schools; 4000 - Parks; 5000 - Commercial/Retail; 6000 - Commuter Lots; 7000 - Central; 8000 - Other Jurisdictions.

This layer reflects the further subdivision of police Areas into smaller geographic areas called sectors. Western sectors range from A10-A18, Eastern sectors range from B10-B15, and Central sectors range from C10-C19.
