<DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><DIV><DIV><P><SPAN>A polygon land cover layer was developed for Prince William County to categorize areas in the county into one (1) of five (5) types of land cover: bare, woody, non-woody, impervious or water. This layer was created in 2021 from Spring 2017 imagery by The Sanborn Map Company for Prince William County. This 2017 update is the result of a change detection process which built on the previous classification in 2012. Changed areas were updated, and minor modifications due to updated methodologies were completed. In particular, single trees in parking lots are classified under "impervious" instead of "woody".</SPAN></P></DIV></DIV></DIV> |
