<DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><DIV><DIV><P><SPAN>Data set represents the location of mile or kilometer markers along Interstates, Highways and primary roads within the boundaries of Prince William County. Currently Mile Markers are along Joplin Road, Interstates 66 and 95. Additionally there are Kilometer Markers along Prince William Parkway. The position of the mile/km markers were determined in the following manner: Prince William PKWY, Interstates 66 and 95 a sampling of the mile/km markers were collected using GPS and the remaining markers were interpolated. Then the mile/km markers were placed to intersect with the street centerline segment. Joplin Road mile markers were created based upon VDOT proposed sign placement sketch showing where to place mile markers 16 through 24.</SPAN></P></DIV></DIV></DIV>
To graphically delinate the location of a mile marker post and its associated information. Markers are along primary roads and interstates and on both directions (N/S, W/E, and HOV) of the road where applicable.
